HODY® Trapezium sheets for composite floor decks
HODY® profiled steel sheets have a modified trapezium shaped profile of 60 mm in height and intended for constructing so-called 'low' composite steel decking. The finished concrete floor is between 110 mm - 290 mm high. HODY® Trapezium sheets can be used on free spans of up to 8 metres over the bearing construction.

Application possibilities
The product
HODY® composite steel decking consists of a specially rolled trapezium-shaped steel sheet which functions as permanent shuttering for the relatively thin and lightweight concrete floor, providing stability and strength to the structural floor construction. During the curing process of the concrete HODY® Trapezium sheets act as the shuttering that transfers the weight of the concrete and the assembly load to the bearing construction. When the concrete is fully cured the HODY® Trapezium sheets, often with supplementary reinforcement, create a well engineered structural floor solution. HODY® sheets can be provided with interior (KID) polyester or PVDF coatings in RAL colours on the underside.

Assembly / Installation
HODY® Trapezium sheets are easy to install. A handbook for the assembly is available. Assembly of the HODY® composite steel floor decks by specialized application companies is possible.
Reports
The HODY® low steel sheet concrete floors have been extensively tested by TNO-Construction in Delft. Additional calculations, the design basis and tables have been produced by Bartels Engineering Consultants b.v. and are based upon the Eurocode 4, TGB 1990 and CUR reports 7, 8 and 9. A Zulassung test for Germany is also available.
